We’re two elder millennial moms of twins (and also best friends who met almost 2 decades ago in college) navigating the rollercoaster world of twin parenting from opposite coasts. Our sets of twins (one set of identical twins and one set of fraternal twins; both di-di) arrived a year apart, and we got very lucky in having each other to lean on when dealing with babies and toddlerhood.
We quickly realized that there’s unique challenges and joys that come with raising multiples. The advice from singleton parents didn’t really hit the spot (Wait, you’re one month out from giving birth and out at a restaurant? HOW!?!). We looked around for advice, but it was scatted everywhere, sometimes out of date, and it was hard to sort through. We talked to tons of twin moms and dads in our in-person and virtual communities, and learned a ton from them and our personal experience.
It dawned on us: why not create a space where this collective wisdom we’ve gathered could be easily accessible to new and expecting twin parents? So here we are. We hope that all of the content on the site can help you with the chaos of twin parenting.
Our vision for this site is simple: to be a reliable, engaging, honest (and hopefully sometimes witty) resource for twin millennial or Gen Z (we know, we’re genuinely not cool enough for Gen Z) parents, by twin millennial parents. Everything you'll find here — from practical tips on selecting the right double stroller to dealing with post-partum anxiety and sleep deprivation from wrangling twin chaos monkeys — is based on our personal experiences, the advice of our extended twin community, and thorough research. One of us is the neurotic type that needs to do hours of research and create a bazillion Google Spreadsheet charts to make sure decisions are optimized to the max (ahem Melody), so we’re hoping that our hours of nerding out helps at scale. We're committed to sharing our journey honestly, sharing insights and strategies that have truly made a difference in our lives.
While we're passionate about providing support and information, we also emphasize the importance of professional medical advice for any concerns about your twins' health. Please check with your pediatrician if you have any concerns — we’re not doctors, nurses, or any other kind of medical professional and we don’t play one on tv.
Just consider us your go-to pals for twin parenting wisdom, always here to share, support, and guide you through the incredible adventure of raising twins. Thanks for taking the time to check this site out!
Thanks,
Melody and Melissa
